The meaning of the Italian word "Sabato" and how you use it

sabato
(noun) (masc.) (sing./pl.) Saturday Days of the week do not require a definite article. If a definite article is used before a day of the week it means "on ...." or "every...", as in "il sabato" (on Sundays). Moreover, days of the week are always lowercase, except when placed at the beginning of a sentence.
