How to Ask for the Time in Spanish<\/h2>\n

There are three main ways to ask for the time in Spanish:<\/p>\n

\u00bfQu\u00e9 hora es? <\/strong><\/em>(What time is it?)<\/p>\n

\u00bfQu\u00e9 horas son?<\/strong><\/em> (What time is it?)<\/p>\n

\u00bfTiene(s) la hora? <\/em><\/strong>(Do you have the time?)<\/p>\n

Note that \u00bfQu\u00e9 hora es?<\/em> is the most common way you’ll hear or use.<\/p>\n

How to Tell Time on the Hour in Spanish<\/h2>\n

Then to tell someone what the time is, you’ll need to follow this formula:<\/p>\n

Es\/son<\/em> + la\/las<\/em> + [hour].<\/strong><\/p>\n

So if the time just happens to be on the hour,\u00a0<\/em>you might say:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\t\n\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t
