These are called <strong>irregular verbs.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Irregular verbs are very common and in most cases, you&#8217;ll just have to memorize their special conjugations.<\/p>\n<p>There are four main types of irregular verbs.<\/p>\n<h3>Stem-changing Verbs<\/h3>\n<p>Stem-changing verbs have the same conjugations as regular verbs. There are various kinds of verbs that have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fluentu.com\/blog\/spanish\/spanish-verbs-with-irregular-yo-forms\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">irregular\u00a0<em>yo\u00a0<\/em>forms.<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Some verbs will end in <em>-go<\/em>, <em>-oy<\/em>, \u00a0or <em>-zco<\/em>. \u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Verbs that end in <em>-ger<\/em> or<em> -gir\u00a0<\/em>will end in <em>-jo.\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These are only a few of the patterns and the only way to really remember them is to memorize these.<\/p>\n<p>Here are a few examples of verbs with irregular <em>yo<\/em> forms.
