“<\/i>The Simpsons” has been dubbed into Spanish in both Latin America and Spain.\u00a0They\u2019re also dubbed into many other languages<\/a> which shows that a decent story\u2014even if it\u2019s a cartoon\u2014can still be funny, culturally relevant and entertaining no matter where in the world you are.<\/p>\n

So if you love “The Simpsons” in English, you’ll love learning Spanish with\u00a0“Los Simpson.” <\/em>In this guide, I’ll explain how you can watch “The Simpsons” in Spanish, plus introduce you to four great clips to get you started.<\/p>\n

How to Learn Spanish with “The Simpsons”<\/h2>\n

Watching “Los Simpson”<\/em>\u00a0is a powerful way to learn Spanish. The show’s content is relevant and funny<\/strong> and the idiomatic language allows for\u00a0vocabulary building<\/a> and cultural learning.<\/strong><\/p>\n

You can often find\u00a0subtitled episodes, which lets you get some reading practice<\/strong> and serves as a boost for beginning learners who might have trouble following the spoken word. You can start by watching with subtitles, then turn them off to give your listening skills<\/strong> a workout, too.<\/p>\n

Write down bits of dialogue.<\/strong> Refer to this list later, after the clip is almost a memory. Don\u2019t be surprised if you understand the vocabulary and phrases! Many people (myself included) retain material with less effort if it\u2019s presented as entertainment.<\/p>\n

On that same note, don\u2019t forget to add to your vocabulary list<\/strong> with idioms and phrases you see in the clips. It really is a great opportunity to learn new vocabulary.<\/p>\n
