If you’ve been on FluentU in the past day or so you’ve probably noticed a few changes to the site. We’re currently in the process of giving FluentU a bit of a facelift, as well as introducing some exciting new features.
Log in now and you’ll find a brand-new ‘Home’ area, as well as new info pages for both videos and courses.
New ‘Home’ page:
We’ve gone and given the ‘Home’ page a complete overhaul.
In your new ‘Home’ area you’ll find a convenient ‘Now Learning’ stream from which you can access any of your videos, courses, or favorites. Any content you interact with on FluentU will appear in your stream, making managing your studies a much simpler experience.
New ‘Video Info’ page:
Clicking on a video will now take you to its ‘video info’ page. At a video’s info page you’ll find more details about that video as well as the ‘Watch Video’ and ‘Learn Vocab’ buttons.
At the bottom of the page you’ll also find a new ‘Dialogue Tab’ containing the entire transcript of the video – complete with pop-up definitions and full vocab entries with example sentences just a click away.
New ‘Course Info’ page:
Our goal with courses is to guide you through a set of related FluentU study material in a way that maximizes your learning experience. We think the new courses info page does a much better job of this.
Each course now contains a ‘Curriculum’ tab that clearly lays out your progress, as well as the next step in the course. You can also skip around by watching any video, learning its vocab, or going directly to a video’s info page by clicking its title.
That’s it for this round of updates, but as always, expect more improvements in the near future. In the meantime, feel free to get in touch and let us know what you think or share any suggestions you may have. We’re always listening!
